The role of the Private Equities Team is to maximize CIB's return on investments in existing and future opportunities through dividends and/or capital gain
- Reviewing and following up on all existing equity investments
- Identifying and implementing feasible investments at reasonable prices at optimal timing to maximize future returns
- Conducting accurate share valuations for shares collateralizing CIB's credit exposure
- Capability to implement private placements upon request through conducting thorough analysis of the case under consideration.
- Capability to assist in underwriting assignments upon request in conjunction with the corporate finance sector.
CIB is currently involved in investments in several sectors of the Egyptian economy. The Private Equity Team constantly tries to expand its interests to include all sectors with growth and profitability potential. Our investment portfolio now encompasses investments in the following main sectors:
- Tourism
- Construction
- Electrical Engineering
- Gas and Petroleum
- Financial Services
- Food
- Transportation and Communication
- Textiles
Lately we have started focusing on other profitable growth industries such as IT, Power and Distribution and Telecommunications.
CIB has set several prerequisites for any company that wished to seek partnership of the bank in any project:
- Historical information and financial statements of the previous five years (if available)
- Financial budget plan with five years ahead projections and expectations
- Company's articles of incorporation
- Company's commercial Register
