As of this week, 529 of CIB employees who were previously confirmed for COVID-19 have fully recovered, on the other hand CIB continues to monitor 186 active and confirmed cases of COVID-19 in staff members. Unfortunately, our extended CIB family is mourning the passing of two of our colleagues who died of complications from COVID-19.

All cases were reported to the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). Upon learning of the cases, our management team ordered closures, deep cleaning, and disinfection following MOHP and World Health Organization protocols as well as CIB's crisis management and pandemic response plans, based on the situation of each case.

We notified all staff members who had direct contact with the active cases to self-isolate themselves for a period of 14 days. We also notified all outside parties including clients who may had contact with the active cases.

We remind our customers that all of CIB's 207 branches and more than 1100 ATMs are fully operational and serving our valued customers, unless notified otherwise officially by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). For your safety and that of our staff, and to help prevent the spread of the virus, we have introduced additional cleaning protocols and spoken with everyone on our team about best practices in personal hygiene.

Clients can also bank with us online from the convenience of their homes by logging into their Mobile Banking, Internet Banking or CIB Business Banking accounts. All of our digital services operate 24/7.

We are committed to meeting our responsibilities to our customers, stakeholders and shareholders and continue to monitor the situation nationwide. If you have questions about the virus in Egypt, we encourage you to visit the Ministry of Health and Population's covid-19 website at www.care.gov.eg.

On behalf of our more than 6,900 employees, we thank you for your continued trust in CIB.

Now more than ever, every single individual is taking on extra roles and responsibilities to support our community from the impacts of COVID-19. CIB has taken the initiative to aid citizens that are struggling during these challenging times by contributing to the efforts of the foundations responding to those in

need.

CIB has partnered with the Egyptian Food Bank with a fund of EGP1,600,000 to support the urgent needs of 10,000 families whose main source of income has been impacted during this crisis. This contribution came in response to the “Good Challenge” initiative that went viral amongst senior government officials, key figures and business leaders. Additionally, CIB is depositing EGP80,000,000 in the Emergency and Crisis account at Banque Misr, a fund devoted to supporting the households and businesses that have been deeply affected by the current circumstances, an initiative led by the Federation of Egyptian Banks in coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt.

While financial donations are an immediate way to support the community, the most critical contributions are those that support the healthcare system in treating and preventing the spread of the virus. CIB is donating USD2,500,000 to Tahya Misr to buy 100 RT-PCR detection kits to increase the testing capacity for COVID-19 across Egypt.

CIB is constantly exploring further initiatives and proactive measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community. We are monitoring the situation in Egypt closely and we will continue to take the necessary actions to provide the needed support every step of the way.
