Cairo, October 21, 2025- CIB, Egypt’s leading and largest private-sector bank, is pleased to announce that its legal department has been recognized with three prestigious awards from The Law Magazine, the largest legal platform in Egypt and the Middle East. The award ceremony was held at Qubbah Palace, celebrating the department’s commitment to leadership and excellence in the Egyptian market.
The awards were presented during a high-profile event commemorating the tenth anniversary of The Law Magazine. At the ceremony, CIB’s Legal Department was acknowledged for its outstanding contributions to the legal profession, earning accolades for Best-in-House Legal Team-Egypt and the Diversity & Inclusion Award.
In addition to the department’s success, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, CIB’s Chief Legal Officer, was also honored with the General Counsel of the Year Award for his remarkable professional achievements and significant contributions to the legal profession. In his acceptance speech, Abbas highlighted that these awards reflect the bank’s unwavering commitment to legal governance and institutional excellence. He expressed gratitude to the legal team for their dedication and praised the bank’s management for their steadfast support. Abbas also noted that receiving this recognition is a milestone as the bank celebrates its 50th anniversary.
