​Believing in the importance of developing the skills of university graduates and students and creating distinctive work calibers to join the labor market, Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) granted scholarships to senior students and a number of fresh graduates of 2014/2015 batch from the Faculty of Commerce, English Section at Ain Shams University.

These scholarships reflect CIB’s strategy in supporting the youth through the development of their skills and capabilities, as they are Egypt’s prosperous future and the production wheel that will be leading the country’s economy.

In association with the university , CIB held a seminar about the scholarship to illustrate its importance and significance, the benefits for trainees and the conditions of applying for it. The seminar witnessed a significant presence of students who expressed their interest in CIB scholarship, in addition to the attendance of Dr. Atef Al-Awam, Acting Faculty Dean, Dr. Wafaa Youssef, Head of HR Unit at the Faculty of Commerce and two representatives from CIB who were delegated by Mr. Karim Youssef, CIB Head of Human Resources to coordinate the seminar.

The seminar encouraged lots of students to apply for the scholarship and out of which, 50 students were selected as per the scholarship conditions. The training was held over the course of five consecutive days, three hours daily, in different sectors at the Bank. At the end of training, trainees received CIB training certificates, in recognition of their performance and high commitment throughout the scholarship.

CIB’s scholarships succeeded to provide the adequate practical training and implementation of all what was theoretically studied at the faculty, better introduce the trainees to the banking sector and the career path, which grant them some industry experience and prepare them to become a distinctive cadres that meet the labor market needs.
