Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) continues its pioneering role in supporting various segments of the society across multiple initiatives, where at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Bank distributed 20,000 Ramadan food cartons in several governorates, especially in the neediest remote areas.
The Bank team managed to implement the distribution plan of Ramadan food cartons according to a pre-prepared study identifying the exact governorates and areas that suffer from the lack of food services. This is to ensure achieving the initiative goals of supporting and bringing joy to underprivileged families during the Holy month. Based on this, the scope of distribution reached 10 governorates, including Qaliubiya, Sharkiya, Gharbiya, Menoufiya, Aswan, Luxor, Red Sea, Beheira, Sohag and Assiut.
It is worth mentioning that CIB-Egypt is keen on implementing such charitable initiative on annual basis, which is rooted in its commitment to support deprived families living below poverty line, especially in remote, disadvantaged areas lacking adequate services.
Compared to last year, the Bank increased the number of Ramadan food cartons from 15,000 to 20,000 and widened the distribution coverage from three governorates only, Assiut, Luxor and Aswan, in 2015 to 10 provinces this year.
