​The Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB), Egypt’s largest private sector bank and the world’s best bank in the emerging markets, honored the first graduating class of the SME Consultant Program, in collaboration with the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants (AASBC), a highly qualified and competent organization that provides valuable consultation across the field .

The SME Consultant Program, implemented by CIB Business Banking, focuses heavily on integrating the latest educational methods into the world of small business management and growth strategies. The bank celebrated 33 graduates whom specialized in Business Banking Client Advisors, Business Banking District Heads, and Credit Analysts, during an event attended by Mr. Hussein Abaza, CIB Chief Executive Officer and Board Member, Mr. Ahmed Issa, CIB Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Banking, and Mr. Rashwan Hammadi, CIB Head of Business Banking.

This certification qualifies the graduates to have a better understanding of different types of business models, growth strategies and market dynamics to identify rising challenges and seek potential opportunities at the company’s operations. Participants in the program attend an intensive training course and commit to self-studies of comprehensive material and online sessions, followed by an online final assessment. 

The Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants (AASBC) is the only global association focusing on training and certifying small and medium business consultants; it provides proprietary educational materials and practice aides explicitly designed to develop proficiency. Accredited SME consultants acquire the knowledge and credibility to assist clients in improving operational efficiency, which leads to increased profitability and business value. In this respect, CIB-Egypt management is enthusiastic to further enroll potential calibers to the program in order to upgrade their skills and competencies.
