Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) continues to go from strength to strength, maintains its remarkable performance and adds on to its list of records that are recognized by the world’s most reputable organizations. The year 2015 brought a total of 21 international, prominent awards that indicate the outstanding performance of CIB-Egypt and its leadership of the market.
One of the latest awards was granted by The Banker, which named Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) the winner of its Bank of the Year Award. This is the not the first Banker’s award for Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) this year, as its pision of Africa Banking Awards granted Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) four awards: Best Commercial Bank in Egypt, Best Corporate Bank in North Africa, Most Socially Responsible Bank in North Africa and Trade Finance Deal of the Year.
The Bank well deserved another eight awards from Global Finance, one of the world’s most prestigious organizations. Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) was named Best Trade Finance Provider in Egypt, Best Foreign Exchange Providers in Egypt, Best Bank in Egypt, Best Sub-Custodian Bank, Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Bank in Egypt, Best Information Security Initiatives, Innovators in Foreign Exchange and Best Consumer Digital Bank In Egypt. The latter award was granted to CIB-Egypt for the first time ever in recognition of the Bank’s digital platforms in terms of look and feel features, in connection with the re-launch of CIB’s website last year.
Another notably award that was given, not only for the first time to CIB-Egypt in specific, but to an Egyptian bank in general is the Best Business Continuity Team from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), one of the leading certification bodies in Business Continuity and disaster recovery planning. This novel award was a clear recognition of CIB’s level of excellence in business continuity management.
The list of 2015 awards included five more prizes, two prizes from the Asian Banker, including The Achievement in Enterprise Risk Management of the Year and Strongest Bank by Balance Sheet in Egypt. as for the remaining three awards, two were received from EMEA Finance which selected CIB-Egypt for Best FX services in North Africa and the Best Bank in Egypt. CIB-Egypt received this same latter award category from Euromoney.
CIB-Egypt also concluded its distinguished list of 2015 awards by receiving two prestigious awards of JP Morgan Elite Quality Recognition MT 103 (90%) , MT 202 (98%).
Commenting on the awards' winning, Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, Chairman and Managing Director said that earning awards does not solely add to CIB, but it is also a global testimony that the Egyptian banking sector is stable and increasingly growing. Ezz Al-Arab expressed his gratitude to all CIB staff who contributed to this success, affirming that it is the result of efforts, commitment and dedication of each and every team member.
