​The Commercial international Bank–Egypt (CIB) maintains its firm commitment towards the development of Egyptian youth across different fields, the most important of which is to support the special competences and skills of university students and fresh graduates to be prepared for the labor market. In this regard, the Bank launched a new initiative called “طوّرني ” that aims to create distinguished young calibers that will create a new generation of qualified candidates who will be driving the country’s development and growth.

The new initiative includes different activities managed by the Recruitment and Selection Department at CIB-Egypt, in cooperation with public and private  universities and organizations, dedicating a specialized team to organize free workshops and sessions at universities, provide internships and participate in various employment fairs in addition to attending the graduation ceremonies in some universities where CIB Professionals is present to congratulate the students and receive their CVs on the same day for future hiring opportunities.


During the first quarter of this year, the Bank organized 14 sessions under the theme of “How to Write your CV and Be Prepared for an Interview”, which aim to strengthen the capabilities of young calibers to meet the requirements of the labor market, while granting them all information and experience needed in order to support their first steps in their career path. Adding to this is the creation of a pool of talented candidates for CIB’s hiring opportunities.


During these sessions, the Bank’s specialized team provided tips and guidelines for students about the proper, professional writing techniques to create a good resume, in addition to the list of Dos and Don’ts for the job interviews and how to get well prepared in order to capitalize on the chances of winning a job opportunity. The sessions were held in the universities of Ain Shams, Alexandria, Al-Nahda in Beni Suef, Suez Canal, German University in Cairo (GUC), Misr International University (MIU), and The Arab Academy for Sciences and Technology and Maritime, in addition to another separate session held in cooperation with the Sawy Culture Wheel. The free seminars witnessed an outstanding participation of roughly 2000 students.


Besides, the Bank also provided winter internships for 10 students from the American University in Cairo (AUC), who got the opportunity for an on-site banking experience across different departments. 


With regards to the employment fairs, CIB-Egypt contributed in various work exhibitions held in the Egyptian universities, including the universities of Ain Shams, Al-Nahda, British University in Egypt (BUE), French University in Egypt, and The Arab Academy for Sciences and Technology and Maritime. One of the Bank’s most significant contributions in the first quarter of 2017 was its support to the “Forum of the Rotary Union Clubs in Egypt for the Special Needs Employment” as a gold sponsor, evidencing its commitment to support the integration of people with special needs into career life and provide equal opportunities.
