Over the years, the Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) well positioned itself as the leading private bank in the Egyptian market, due to its high-standard management tools and its strategy for sustainable development of all services and products offered to customers. This outstanding performance has been recognized by a number of awards from reputable organizations, such as the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) which is one of the leading certification bodies in Business Continuity and disaster recovery planning globally. The DRII granted “Team of the Year” award for the first time ever to an Egyptian bank in recognition of CIB’s level of excellence in business continuity management. This award reflects the Bank’s fruitful teamwork strategy; a principle rooted and pursued by the senior management and applied across all departments.
On the other side, CIB was granted four prominent awards from Global Finance, the well-known international organization which selects the winners as per a set of international banking standards in addition to professional analysts and bankers who oversee the organization.
The four Global Finance awards included “Best Trade Finance Bank in Egypt” granted for CIB’s outstanding corporate financial solutions in addition to its transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies, especially that CIB has an advanced technology infrastructure similar to what is offered by international banks.
The second award was the “Best Foreign Exchange Providers in Egypt”; CIB was identified by Global Finance as the best foreign exchange bank in Egypt for best handling the currency hedging and transaction needs of major corporations despite the difficult conditions in Egypt.
CIB also received the “Best Bank in Egypt” award, which evidences the Bank’s leadership in the context of its sustainable strategy and full understanding of the market that maintains the outstanding performance and high quality of customer service. As for the fourth Global Finance award “Best Subcustodian Bank 2015”, it was given to CIB for providing best services in local markets and regions to global custodians, as well as maintaining high customer relations, quality of service, competitive pricing, smooth handling of exception items, technology platforms, post-settlement operations, business continuity plans and knowledge of local regulations and practices.
Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, CIB Chairman and Managing Director expressed his gratitude to the Bank’s continuous achievements and recognition of international organizations.
