The CIB Foundation announced that it would be purchasing a state-of-the-art intraoperative MRI machine for the 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital. The announcement was made during the conference held at the hospital, entitled “Role of Private Sector in the Development of Civil Society”. Amr Al-Ganainy, Head of Global Customer Relations at CIB and representatives from CIB and the CIB Foundation took part in the event, being one of the main supporters of the hospital since 2009.


Al-Ganainy praised the distinguished role of 57357 Hospital and the level of medical care and services provided for free to all children at the highest quality. He added that CIB Foundation is strongly committed towards supporting the hospital’s honorable mission and that the Foundation has always been dedicated to enhancing existing health services for underprivileged children with limited access to quality care.


Dr. Sherif Abou El-Naga, Vice President of 57357 Hospital for Research, Academic Affairs and Outreach, explained how the dream of building the Hospital was turned into reality and that they have successfully achieved a cure rate of 72%. Abou El-Naga shed light on the continuous support of CIB and confirmed that the Bank has been a true partner in success. 


The conference was held on the occasion of the successful achievement of a cure rate of 72%, in addition to the latest expansion of the hospital’s capacity by 30% through adding 60 extra beds, and the inauguration of the 5735​7 branch in Tanta that will be providing medical care and services to patients in the Delta area.


Ghada Waly, Minister of Social Solidarity granted Al-Ganainy the Hospital’s shield in recognition of CIB’s efforts and attempts to support health services for underprivileged children in Egypt. 


The CIB Foundation, established in 2010 as a non-profit organization, is dedicated to enhancing health and nutritional services for underprivileged children in Egypt. Through the allocation of 1.5% of CIB’s net annual profit, as well as contributions from CIB customers and employees, the Foundation makes valuable contributions in the area of child health and nutrition through various multi-faceted initiatives, including renovating and upgrading hospital infrastructure, purchasing medical equipment, and providing surgical and medicinal treatment to underprivileged children.
