Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB), Egypt’s leading private sector bank, announced the signing of a partnership protocol with Business Women of Egypt 21 (BWE21), an independent non-profit organization enacting positive change for businesswomen and the Egyptian economy. The protocol is part of CIB’s continued commitment to support women entrepreneurs running small and medium-sized businesses achieve sustainable development.
The protocol establishes CIB as BWE21’s exclusive bank sponsor and will see the Bank help the organization set up voluntary workshops on financial awareness and attain financing for business development. Under the agreement, the Bank will also develop a suite of banking services especially targeted at businesswomen who are members of the BWE21.
The protocol was announced against the backdrop of CIB’s participation in the Annual BWE21 Conference, which gave participants an overview of key milestones the organization has achieved to support the success of Egyptian businesswomen in 2018. The conference also featured discussions on export opportunities to the Canadian market through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commercial representation bureaus as well as upcoming investment opportunities across Egypt throughout 2019.
The partnership derives from CIB’s commitment to intensify support to BWE21 by providing the required expertise to help women in business develop their business models in line with market dynamics in an effort to promote sustainable growth.
CIB is a dedicated banking service provider with a perse suite of products tailored directly to its expansive roster of clients, including businesses, high-net worth inpiduals and retail clients.
