Cairo, February 23 and 24, 2025 — CIB, Egypt’s leading private-sector bank, is the official sponsor of the “50 years of Um Kulthum,” a celebration of one of Egypt’s most distinguished icons in the Arab world to be held at the Grand Egyptian Museum on February 23^rd and 24^th. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the event will host two renowned singers Riham Abdelhakim and May Farouk, each performing iconic songs originally sung by Umm Kulthum. The performances serve to revive Um Kulthum’s legacy which has significantly contributed to Egypt’s cultural fabric and has continued to inspire successive generations.
