Cairo, Egypt – Commercial International Bank (CIB), Egypt’s leading private sector bank, celebrated its fifth year of GRI Sustainability Reporting by launching a Sustainability Reporting Award targeting the corporate sector in Egypt. CIB awarded twenty participants from the 10th Egypt CSR and Sustainability Forum, a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Training over a two-day virtual workshop from 16 to 17 of December 2020.

Our reporting activities have reflected best global standards and practices and have constantly contributed to setting industry benchmarks.”

The virtual workshop was conducted by D-Carbon Egypt. During the workshop the main pillars of sustainability, the guidelines for the “GRI” standards, and how to use them to prepare sustainability reports were explained to attendees.
During Egypt’s 10th CSR and Sustainability Forum that was held in November 2020, 47 event participants applied for the Sustainability Reporting Award and CIB selected 20 companies, NGOs and educational institutions to receive the award.
The GRI Standards Certified Training Program & Sustainability Reporting provides the fundamental principles and methodological framework of GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards. It addresses all types of organizations, both public and private sector and across all levels within the organizations.
