Cairo, October 15, 2023- CIB, Egypt’s leading private-sector bank, has announced the appointment of Amr El-Ganainy as Deputy CEO and Managing Director.
Amr El-Ganainy is the Deputy CEO and Managing Director at Commercial International Bank (CIB). With over 35 years of experience within the banking sector, he has held numerous senior management positions at CIB, most recently as CEO of Institutional Banking, a position which he has held since 2017. El-Ganainy joined CIB in 2004 as General Manager of the Financial Institutions Group. In 2010, he was asked to establish the Global Customer Relations Department.
El-Ganainy has served on the boards of a number of CIB affiliated companies, including Chairman of Commercial International Brokerage Co. (CIBC), CI Asset Management Co., and CI Capital Holding Co. He has also served as an independent board member of numerous Egyptian corporations across a broad range of industries, including aviation, tourism, financial services, and telecommunications. In addition, he is a member of the Egyptian Prime Minister’s mandated consortium to promote a tourist-centric culture.
