You need to make sure that the mobile number used during registration is the same number registered to your accounts. If not, you might need to visit the bank and update your information. It could also be that your bank does not permit your account type to be listed on IPN.

IPN allows customers to send money to any of the following:

  • Bank accounts using:
    • Account number
    • Mobile number (for IPN on-boarded customers only)
    • IPA (Instant Payment Address for on-boarded customers only)
  • Digital wallets (using mobile number)
  • Meeza cards (using 16-digit card number)

You can send money using one of the following beneficiary’s details:

  • Instant Payment Address (IPA)
  • Mobile number registered with IPN
  • Digital wallet using mobile number
  • Bank account number or IBAN
  • Debit, credit or prepaid card from a member bank using a 16-digit number
Each app allows you to create one IPA for each account, which means you can have any number of IPAs based on the number of accounts you have at different banks and the number of IPN apps used.
No, data privacy restrictions prevent InstaPay from storing or having access to your bank account data, which is only denoted by a reference number, while the actual account number is stored at CIB.
By sharing your IPA or mobile number or initiating a collect request.
Please contact the bank and provide the customer service agent with the transaction reference number to track your transaction
Once your mobile number is verified, select your bank account, add your account, set your IPA and set your IPN PIN.

It is a money transfer request sent to an IPN user through their IPA or mobile number.

The request can be accepted or declined by the user.

IPN PIN is a 6-digit number that is set by the customer per account upon successfully adding new accounts. IPN PIN is used for authenticating all transactions performed on the IPN network.
If the transaction status on InstaPay is “successful,” this means that the amount was successfully credited to the beneficiary’s account. Please provide the beneficiary with the transaction’s reference number to check the issue with their bank.
There is no limit to how many of your accounts you can link. However, all the accounts you want to link must have the same mobile number registered to them or they will not show in your choices.
  1. Download the app from your mobile’s app store (Google Play or App Store)
  2. Select your bank account that is registered with your mobile number
  3. Create an IPN account and set a PIN that will only be accessible through your mobile device
Whenever a transaction is declined on InstaPay, CIB will automatically reverse the transaction to your bank account immediately. In case the transaction is not reversed, please contact CIB’s customer service at 19666 and provide them with the transaction’s reference number to track it.
IPA stands for Instant Payment Address. It is a simplified address for your account, which can be used to send and receive cash transfers instead of a full bank account number or card details. Think of it as an email address that can be used to transfer money.

Confidential data is defined as your card number, PIN and OTP, submitted during onboarding, and your IPN’s PIN submitted either during logins or during transaction authentication processes.

All the above confidential data are encrypted between you and CIB by implementing end-to-end encryption. Thus, InstaPay has no access, rights or ability to obtain or store such confidential data.

InstaPay is guided by data integrity and purpose limitation principles. The app collects data mainly for two purposes:

  1. Building your profile during the registration process, where the collected data is limited to name, date of birth, gender, email and mobile number
  2. Processing transactions after collecting the transaction value and the beneficiary’s name

In all cases, no confidential data is collected by InstaPay.

The money you will receive will be sent to your chosen default account.
