No, you can only issue one multi-use online card per month.

CIB and non-CIB customers:

  • Visit your nearest CIB branch or Smart Wallet authorized agent.
  • Fill out a registration form.
  • The agent will process your data and enter it into the system.
  • You will then receive an SMS with a download link and an activation code.
  • Download the app from either the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei AppGallery.
  • Enter your registered mobile number and the activation code that was sent to you via SMS.
  • Create a six-digit PIN (should not include any repetitive or sequential numbers).

Your Smart Wallet will then be activated and ready to be used.

CIB Customers only:

  •  SMS channel
  •  Send your full National ID number in an SMS to 4435, followed by the last 4 digits of your CIB card and separated by a hashtag. Send the SMS from the mobile number you want to link to the  wallet. Example: 291234567890#1234.
  •  Within three working days, you will receive an SMS that contains a download link and an activation code.
  •  Download the app from either the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei AppGallery.
  •  Enter your registered mobile number and the activation code that was sent to you via SMS.
  •  Create a six-digit PIN (should not include any repetitive or sequential numbers).
  •  Your CIB card will be connected to your Smart Wallet within 7 working days.
  • Via CIB Internet and Mobile Banking channels:
  •  Log into your Internet or Mobile Banking account.
  •  Click on the “Requests” tab.
  •  For Mobile Banking: Select "Other Requests" then "Manage Smart Wallet"

            For Internet Banking: Select "Manage Smart Wallet"

  •  Choose “Open a CIB Wallet” from “Application type.”
  •  Enter your mobile number.
  •  Enter your National ID number.
  •  Enter your National ID expiration date.
  •  Choose CIB card type.
  •  Enter CIB card number, expiration date, and card name.
  •  Click “Submit.”
  •  Click “Confirm” when the confirmation message appears.
  •  You will receive an SMS that contains a download link and an activation code.
  •  Download the CIB Smart Wallet app from either the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei AppGallery.
  •  Enter your registered mobile number, read and accept the terms and conditions, then enter the activation code sent to you via SMS.
  •  Create a six-digit PIN.
  •  Your Smart Wallet will then be activated and ready to be used.
  • A single-use online card is a one-time card that will expire within 24 hours or upon making your first transaction on any local website (with local currency).
  • The multi-use online card can be used for up to 3 transactions a month. The multi-use online card will expire immediately after the month ends or immediately after the 3 transactions are executed.

The first time you download the application, you can watch tutorials on the different services provided by the Smart Wallet. To learn more, log into your wallet, click on the side menu icon, then select “Service Information”.

The amount you request will not be deducted at the time the card is issued, but only when you make an online transaction, except for the card issuance fees mentioned above (EGP 10 for a single-use online card and EGP 15 for a multi-use online card) .

You can reset your PIN through the app by following the below steps:

  • On the app login screen, click on “Forgot your PIN”
  • Enter the mobile number registered on the wallet and your National ID
  • Enter the OTP received via SMS
  • Answer your previously set security questions
  • Upon successful validation, please set a new PIN and enter it twice. PIN should not include repetitive or consecutive numbers or a PIN that have previously been used.
You can request an online card with a limit of up to EGP 60,000 per day or EGP 200,000 per month. It can only be used on local websites and in local currency.
Please contact the Smart Wallet Customer Care line at 19716 and give them the online card number and transaction details. Our agents will take the necessary measures to resolve the problem.

The maximum allowed wallet balance is EGP 400,000.

  • The maximum weekly transaction deposit limit from your linked credit card is EGP 10,000
  • The maximum monthly transaction deposit limit from your linked credit card is EGP 40,000

The fees are non-refundable as per the Smart Wallet's policy. Additionally, all foreign currency transactions using the smart wallet online card have now been stopped. Please note that local currency transactions through the Smart Wallet Online Card are working normally.

Authorized Banking Agent:

  • You can go to any authorized banking agent to withdraw money from your Smart Wallet.
  • Head to the nearest CIB Smart Wallet banking agent outlet
  • On the Smart Wallet app, tap “Withdraw”
  • Click on “Agent Withdrawal”
  • Enter the withdrawal amount to generate an OTP
  • Enter the PIN to confirm the transaction
  • OTP will be generated.
  • Give the OTP to the agent to complete the withdrawal transaction
  • The agent will confirm the withdrawal request and the POS will print two receipts
  • You will then receive your cash and a copy of your receipt

Through an ATM:

  • On the Smart Wallet app, tap “Withdraw”
  • Click on “ATM Withdrawal”
  • Enter the withdrawal amount to generate an OTP
  • Enter the PIN to confirm the transaction
  • OTP will be generated
  • Enter the OTP on the ATM screen to complete the withdrawal transaction
  • At the ATM, Select “Cardless Services”
  • Select “Smart Wallet”
  • Select “Cash Withdrawal”
  • Enter your mobile number
  • Enter the OTP extracted from your Smart Wallet app
  • Enter the amount to be withdrawn
  • Your transaction will then be completed and you will receive your cash
Yes, upon successful validation and setting the new PIN, you can instantly login to your wallet using the new PIN.
  • You will need to withdraw all the money in your wallet.
  • Close your wallet
  • Register a new wallet using the new number.

CIB’s Smart Wallet is a mobile application that enables you to do the following:

  • Pay all your bills, top-up your mobile credit, donate to various organizations, etc.
  • Send and receive money from your wallet to any other wallet in Egypt.
  • Withdraw or deposit money via any ATM in Egypt or any CIB Smart Wallet authorized agent.
  • Shop from any brand that has the “Meeza Digital” logo by scanning the merchant’s QR code.
  • Issue online cards with any desired amount that can be later used for making online purchases
Please go to the first screen to restart the process and request a new OTP.
Smart Wallet users can transfer up to EGP 60,000 per day and EGP 200,000 per month.  
The amount will be credited back to your wallet.
The amount paid will be deducted from your wallet and the remaining amount will stay in your wallet. This applies to both single and multi-use online cards.

First, check if the brand/merchant has a “Meeza Digital” logo.

Merchant-initiated payment:

  •  Ask the cashier to make a purchase using their QR code.
  • On your Smart Wallet application, select “Purchase” from the homepage menu.
  • Select “Scan Merchant QR” and proceed to scan the QR code.
  • The payment details will appear on your application (merchant name, transaction amount, etc.).
  • Confirm the payment by pressing and holding the “Purchase” button.
  • Your transaction will then be completed, and you will be provided with an invoice.

Customer-initiated payment:

  • Ask the cashier to pay using your mobile wallet and ask for the 9-digit ID number.
  • On your Smart Wallet application, select “Purchase” from the homepage menu.
  • Select “Enter Transaction Details Manually.”
  • Enter the merchant’s 9-digit number or choose it from your contact list.
  • Enter the desired amount, and then enter the order number (optional).
  • Press and hold the “Purchase” button to confirm.
  • Enter your wallet PIN.
  • Your transaction will then be completed. The merchant will receive an SMS with your payment details.

Request-to-Pay feature:

  • The merchant will send you a request-to-pay notification on your mobile with the transaction details (merchant details, transaction amount, etc.).
  • Review the transaction details.
  • Enter your wallet PIN and press “Confirm.”
  • Your transaction will then be transferred to the merchant successfully.
Your balance will appear on your homepage and on each screen across all features.
