Personal Banking FAQs

You can activate a debit or credit card through the following:

1. Through visiting the nearest CIB ATM
2. Use CIB's Interactive Voice Response
3. Through SMS

- For Debit Cards: please send an SMS to 1491 from registered Egyptian mobile number with 01 followed by first 6 digits & last 4 digits of the debit card number
- For Credit Cards: please send an SMS to 1491 from registered Egyptian mobile number with 02 followed by last 4 digits of the credit card number

• You can activate the biometrics feature during your first login or by clicking on “Profile” at the top of the page
• Click on the “Toggle” button next to “Login using the biometrics feature”
• Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions
• Click on “Activate Now”
• Enter your current password, then click on “Continue”
• Enter the OTP received via SMS on your registered number
• Biometric feature activated successfully

From the Internet Banking Home Page:

1. Go to “Requests”
2. Click on “Add Related Accounts”
3. Fill in the form with your related account customer name, the related account number, relation type and your comments if any.

• Log in to your Online Banking account
• In the “Cards" section on the home page, select the card you want to add to Apple Wallet
• Tap on "Add to Apple Wallet"
• Follow the instructions provided by Apple on the screen

• Log in to your Online Banking account
• Click on “Credit Cards” in the “Cards" section on the home page
• Click on the required credit card
• Click on “show my transactions”
• The eligible transactions will have a label beside it that says “convert to installments”
• Click on the eligible chosen transaction
• Then, click on “convert to installments” 
• Enter the preferred number of installments “months”
• Read the terms and conditions
• Check the box to agree on the terms and conditions
• Click on “Continue”
• Review the transaction details
• Click on “Confirm”
• The transaction will be converted into installments and will be found in the installments tab

In order to apply for the low-income CBE Mortgage initiative, please follow the steps below:

1. Interested citizens may buy the "Terms and Conditions" copybook and apply from any post office.
2. The Mortgage Finance Fund (MFF) reviews submitted documents and directs the accepted applicants via SMS to any of the bank's members in the initiative.

Accepted customers will be contacted and informed with the details and documents required by the Bank’s Relationship Managers.

In case you remember your password and only need to change/update it, you can simply do this from the “Login Settings” under your profile, after you log into the app. Otherwise, you can follow the below steps:

1. Tap on the “Forgot/Reset Password” from your Mobile Banking app
2. Fill in the following fields:
   1. Username: Input your Online Banking username
   2. Password: Choose a password that is easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess
   3. Password Confirmation: Please enter your password again to make sure that it is typed correctly
   4. Debit/Credit Card Number: Please input the 16 digits of your active debit/credit card, without any spaces
   5. Debit/Credit Card PIN: Input the 4-digit PIN code of your debit/credit card
3. Click on "Next".

• Log in to your CIB Mobile Banking app.
• Click on the profile icon.
• Toggle off the “Login using Biometrics Feature” button.
• Your Face ID/Fingerprint login will be deactivated successfully.

3. Tap on “Disable Fingerprint Login”.

5. Revise the payment details then click on “Transfer”.

3. Click on the download icon at the top corner, choose statement date, then click on print
