    2. Click on the “Requests” tab
    3. Select “Manage Smart Wallet”
    4. Choose “Open a CIB Wallet” from application type
    5. Enter your mobile number
    6. Enter your National ID
    7. Enter your National ID expiration date
    8. Choose CIB card type
    9. Enter CIB card number, expiration date, and name on card
    10. Click “Submit”
    11. Click “Confirm” once the confirmation message appears
    12. You will receive an SMS that contains a download link and an activation code
    13. Download the CIB Smart Wallet app from either Apple, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery stores
    14. Enter your registered mobile number, read and accept the terms and conditions, then enter the activation code that was sent to you via SMS
    15. Create your six-digit password

     

    Your Smart Wallet is now activated and ready for transactions.

     

     

     

    What are the Smart Wallet registration requirements?

    • A valid mobile number. (Registered with the applicant’s national ID).
    • A valid national ID card.

     

  1. Download the app from your mobile’s app store (Google Play or App Store)
  2. Select your bank account that is registered with your mobile number
  3. Create an IPN account and set a PIN that will only be accessible through your mobile device
  • Log into your Internet or Mobile Banking account
  • Click on the “Requests” tab
  • For Mobile Banking: Select “Cards Management” then “Replace Debit or Credit Card”

          For Internet Banking: Select “Replace Debit or Credit Card”

  •  Choose card type
  • Choose card account number
  • Enter the reason for replacement
  • Press “Submit”
  • Press “Confirm” once the confirmation message appears

Note:

  • Credit cards will not be replaced if the card is over the limit or the minimum due payment has not been settled for the past 30 day

You can issue an online card through your Smart Wallet. An online card is a single-use or multi-use (upon your request), virtual card loaded with the desired amount of money to be used on any website or application worldwide.

Through the Smart Wallet application:

  • Select “Online Card.”
  • Select “Generate New Card.”
  • Enter the desired amount to assign to your card.
  • Enter your PIN.

You will then be issued an online card with traditional card details (card number, amount, expiry date, and CVC). Enter these details when purchasing items online.

You can choose a new PIN through the following:

  • Call 19666 from your registered phone number
  • Phone Banking from your registered phone number

You can settle the due amount through any of the following:

  • Transfer the required amount through Internet or Mobile Banking
  • Transfer the required amount through Phone Banking by calling 19666
  • Deposit the required amount through the nearest CIB ATM
  • Visit the nearest CIB branch

You can stop a lost or stolen card through the following:

  • Calling 19666 and using Phone Banking or speaking with a live Call Center agent
  • Internet Banking (ebanking.cibeg.com)
  • Visiting the nearest CIB branch

  1. Log into your Internet or Mobile Banking account
  2. Click on the “Requests” tab
  3. Select “Update KYC”
  4. Update the field you wish to change
  5. Read the terms and conditions
  6. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions
  7. Click “Submit”
  8. Insert One Time Password (OTP) from your OTP app
  9. Click “Confirm” once the confirmation message appears

Note:The following cases require a branch visit to update KYC:

  • Permanent address change
  • Financial information change
  • Passport number change


 

  • You can update your address at your nearest CIB branch
  • Internet Banking
  • Through the Call Center from a registered mobile number.
  • When performing any transaction, you can select the star symbol next to “Add to Favorites” on the top right corner of the screen.
  •  Click on the star to highlight it.
  • Complete the transaction successfully, so that it can be added to your “Favorites.”

To perform a financial transaction:

  •  Select the transaction you would like to perform from your “Favorites.”
  • Press and hold the payment button to proceed, then enter your PIN number to complete the transaction.

Confidential data is defined as your card number, PIN and OTP, submitted during onboarding, and your IPN’s PIN submitted either during logins or during transaction authentication processes.

All the above confidential data are encrypted between you and CIB by implementing end-to-end encryption. Thus, InstaPay has no access, rights or ability to obtain or store such confidential data.

In addition to the regular login with your username and password, you can request the One Time Password (OTP) for Higher Authentication access, if you need to perform third Party transfers simply through CIB OTP token application or the hard token.
InstaPay is the first payment service provider application licensed by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to operate through the Instant Payment Network. As such, the app employs a customer information security system against the risks of irresponsible use of or unauthorized access to this information.

Any deposit made after 2 PM will take one full business day to process, according to deposited currency.
The OTP is valid for 10 minutes. If entered correctly, the transaction is completed. In case you enter expired OTP, you will be shown a screen notifying you of the OTP expiration and you will have to re-do the transaction.
