• Login to your Online Banking account
  • Click on “Transfers” on the home page
  • Click on “Local” under “Transfer Types”
  • Select “Transfer to another CIB Account”
  • Choose the beneficiary if it’s already added, or add beneficiary first if you don’t have a saved one
  • Choose the account you want to transfer from
  • Click on “update”
  • Enter the transfer amount and purpose
  • Click on “Continue”
  • Review the transfer summary before proceeding
  • Click on “Confirm”
  • Enter the OTP from your activated CIB OTP Token app
  • Transfer submitted successfully
  • You can extract the “Transaction Receipt” from top right side of the final screen

The Smart Wallet is free of charge. There are no monthly, annual, or maintenance fees for this service.

However, please keep in mind that there are separate fees for each transaction you make. For example, if you use your Smart Wallet to transfer money, issue online cards, and more, additional fees may apply.

    4.         Choose “Amend an existing Wallet” from application type

    5.         Select the desired amendment (Add a card/remove a card/replace a card)

    6.         Enter wallet mobile number

    7.         Choose the amendment type

    8.         Enter your National ID

    9.         Choose CIB card type

    10.   Enter CIB card number, expiration date, and name on card

    11.   Click “Submit”

    12.   Click “Confirm” once the confirmation message appears

     

    Note: You can only link up to two of your CIB cards to your CIB Smart Wallet.

Account information accessed by Mobile Banking and Internet Banking are protected the same way: our authentication process includes your Mobile Banking username, password, and a 6-digit OTP in case of external transfers. For additional protection, we recommend locking your mobile device when not in use.

  • Go to “Requests”
  • For Mobile Banking: Select “Contact Info” then “Update Contact Information”

    12. You will receive an SMS that contains a download link and an activation code
    13. Download the CIB Smart Wallet app from either Apple, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery stores
    14. Enter your registered mobile number, read and accept the terms and conditions, then enter the activation code that was sent to you via SMS
    15. Create your six-digit password

     

    Your Smart Wallet is now activated and ready for transactions.

     

     

     

    What are the Smart Wallet registration requirements?

    • A valid mobile number. (Registered with the applicant’s national ID).
    • A valid national ID card.

Transfers in a foreign currency:

  • Commission: 0.3% from the amount with a minimum of USD 20 - maximum USD 150
  • Swift Charges: Equivalent to USD 10 through Online Banking.
  • The charges are equivalent to USD 20 if executed through CIB branches
  • Beneficiary Bank Fees: Based on the beneficiary bank's fees and charges. The USD equivalent is calculated upon execution and is based on CIB’s daily currency free market rate

If the transfer is conducted through IPN to one of the banks participating in the Instant Payment Network, the commission will be 0.2% with a minimum of EGP 10 and a maximum of EGP 50 (Fees are waived)
