Important Notes

  • Eligible customers are automatically enrolled to the CIB EXPLORE program
  • Points earned on cards will reflect within 2-3 business days from the transaction settlement date
  • Points expire after three years from the earn month
  • Make sure your personal data is updated on CIB banking system to guarantee the ability to register on the CIB EXPLORE points program website and redeem
  • Minimum points balance to be able to redeem is 80,000 points
  • Points transfer is not available
  • You should log in cibexplore.cibeg.com using your EXPLORE, World Elite, or World Elite Metal card number
  • All redemptions are personalized and must be used by the main beneficiary who is the primary bank customer. You have to present your National ID or Passport at the merchant to be able to redeem in case of E-vouchers redemptions
  • Lost or expired e-vouchers cannot be replaced, and respective points are non-refundable
  • BONUS Cards are excluded from CIB EXPLORE loyalty program
  • Not all transactions are eligible for CIB EXPLORE points. Excluded transactions include ATMs, gas stations, government payments, smart and electronic wallet transactions and loading
  • World Elite & World Elite Metal cardholders benefit from point pooling across both CIB EXPLORE and BONUS programs, enabling the redemption on both platforms
  • EXPLORE Platinum & EXPLORE World cardholders do not have the points pooling benefits across both programs, you can only redeem EXPLORE points over the CIB EXPLORE platform.
  • World Elite & World Elite Metal card holders have the ability to redeem their points as EXPLORE Vouchers, EXPLORE Cash, EXPLORE Give over cibexplore.cibeg.com

You can choose from the following payment options:

  • Pay fully with EXPLORE points
  • Pay using your CIB card
  • Split payment (Partial Pay), combining EXPLORE points with your CIB card

To search for flights on the CIB EXPLORE platform:

  1. Go to the Flights tab
  2. Enter your departure city or airport, destination, travel dates, and number of passengers
  3. Use filters to sort by price, airline, number of stops, and flight duration
  4. Select your preferred flight and proceed to checkout

The platform will display variable options allowing you to compare and choose what suits you best.

Ticket prices are displayed in both local currency (EGP) and EXPLORE points.
Yes, the prices displayed are the total final prices including taxes, with no additional charges at payment.
After completing your booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket and full itinerary. You can also access your ticket anytime from the “My Bookings” section on the CIB EXPLORE website.
  • Flight cancellations and modifications are subject to the airline’s policies

  • Additional fees may apply depending on the airline’s terms and conditions
Your baggage allowance is shown in the flight details before booking. For extra baggage, please check directly with the airline.

To search for hotels on the CIB EXPLORE platform:

  1. Go to the Hotels tab
  2. Enter your destination, check-in, and check-out dates
  3. Use filters to refine results
  4. Select your preferred hotel and proceed to booking
After booking a hotel, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all reservation details. You can also access your booking anytime from the “My Bookings” section on the CIB EXPLORE website.
  • Some hotels require a booking request before confirming availability
  • After submitting your request, you’ll receive a confirmation within 24- 48 hours
  • If the hotel rejects your request, you’ll receive a full refund
Before confirmation: You can cancel or modify your request.
After confirmation: Changes depend on the hotel’s cancellation policy (fees may apply according to the hotel’s terms)
No, there are no hidden fees, the price displayed includes all taxes and charges. Any additional costs (e.g., extra services, city tax to be paid at property..etc) will be shown clearly during checkout

First, make sure you have enough balance on your card or in your EXPLORE points, then contact CIB EXPLORE support.

EXPLORE points are doubled for any foreign currency (FCY) transaction, which qualifies as international spend via POS or E-commerce. Eligible travel spend includes

  • Airline tickets and hotel bookings
  • Duty-free shopping
  • Car rentals
  • Online travel agencies (OTAs) inside Egypt or abroad
  • Any other merchant category under travel
  • Flights: Contact Airline Customer Support to check cancellation policies
  • Hotels: If cancellation is allowed, you can cancel through My Bookings or by contacting Hotel Customer Support. 
Refunds depend on the airline or hotel’s cancellation policy. Some bookings are non-refundable or partially refundable.

EXPLORE points can be redeemed through:

  • Over CIB EXPLORE travel booking platform
  • For EXPLORE Vouchers redeemable at one of the participating merchants
  • For EXPLORE Cash through earning cashback over your credit card
  • For EXPLORE Charity
All the points previously earned will remain unchanged. They can be redeemed for travel bookings on the new CIB EXPLORE portal, or redeemed for e-voucher, cashback or charity.
Yes, your BONUS points will be merged into CIB EXPLORE. When you log in to either CIB BONUS or CIB EXPLORE, you will have access to your total points earned across both loyalty programs.

All your transactions will earn EXPLORE points except for the following: 

  • Governmental payments
  • Fawry payments
  • Electronic wallets loading
  • ATM withdrawals
  • Gas station transactions
  • Any bank fees or charges
Your transactions will be enrolled under the new CIB EXPLORE loyalty program starting the 1st of January 2026, providing you with a more enriched and rewarding experience.

No, supplementary cardholders will not have access. CIB EXPLORE access and the add-on benefits are only available to the primary cardholder.

No, your miles are accumulated under your EGYPTAIR Plus program under your own Frequent Flyer number. As for CIB EXPLORE points, they will be accumulated under the EXPLORE program redeemable as you please.
No, your BONUS points will be not merged into CIB EXPLORE. Each is a separate loyalty program. When you login to CIB BONUS or CIB EXPLORE you see the total points earned for each program separately.

You can claim your extra luggage by following these steps 

  • Visit cibexplore.cibeg.com and log in using any of your EXPLORE family credit cards
  • Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number
  • Once logged in, select CIB EXPLORE
  • Search for your desired destination. Eligible flights that include the extra luggage feature will be marked with a flag
  • At checkout, choose the flight leg where you want to add the extra luggage option

In Cairo International Airport the service is available in terminals (Terminal 1- Terminal 2- Terminal 3 All Departure & Arrivals).

  • Head to the 'ALLWAYS Fast Track Counters', ask for the CIB Free Fast Track access, and show your physical card (no pre-booking needed)
  • The extra passenger will pay USD 11.25 at the Fast-Track counter when paying with their CIB credit cards.
  • If you consumed the maximum amount of free accesses, you could claim the fast-track service for the discounted price USD 11.25 instead of USD 15
