CIB Supports the CBE Financial Inclusion Saving Initiative

Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) is pleased to announce the launch of the “Central Bank of Egypt’s Financial Inclusion Saving Initiative” which shall run form the 15th of October to the 31st of October 2021. The initiative aims to encourage all segments of the society to financially secure and manage their future with the help of the banking products and services. 

CIB is promoting two of its products and services for this initiative; the Easy Savings Account and the CIB Smart Wallet. Through the Easy Savings Account and CIB Smart Wallet, we hope to provide more people with access to banking products and services. Both products require minimal paperwork and no registration or opening fees, which shall motivate more customers to access the bank. 

1. Easy Savings Account

  • No minimum initial deposit is required to open the account
  • Customers receive an annual interest rate of 4.5%* paid monthly on the lowest balance during the month
  • No account opening fees
  • No minimum balance required
  • An annual administration fee of EGP 50
  • Customers should issue a debit card to enjoy our digital platforms
  • All transactions are done through CIB’s electronic channels, digital platforms, and/or ATM machines

* The interest rates are according to the published rates on the website.

** Using CIB branches network for any transaction that is also available on our electronic channels will cost customers an additional EGP 100 per transaction.

2. CIB Smart Wallet

  • Purchase and pay for goods from any merchant that has the “Meeza Digital” logo by scanning the merchant’s QR Code
  • Send and receive money from your wallet to any other wallet in Egypt
  • Pay all your bills (mobile, internet, landline, utility), top-up your mobile, donate to various organizations, etc
  • Issue online cards with your desired amount to be utilized for online purchases
