Important Points

To register with Smart Wallet, customers need the following:

  1.  A valid National ID.
  2. A mobile number that is registered to the person applying for a Smart Wallet.
  3. A mobile number that is not linked to any other wallet.
  • You do not need to have a CIB bank account in order to have a CIB Smart Wallet.
  • The mobile number used to register should be owned by the person registering to Smart Wallet.
  • Each mobile number can register to one wallet only.
  • You can link up to three mobile wallets to one National ID card, but you will need different mobile numbers for each wallet.
  • You can unregister from CIB Smart Wallet from the application itself.
  • You can check and export your transaction log to be able to print or use it in the future.
  • You can view the service fees and overview within the application.
  • You can use the Contact Us button to speak with our dedicated call center agent for support or to leave your feedback/complaint.


Smart Wallet limits

  • Maximum wallet balance limit: EGP 100,000
  • Maximum daily transactions limit: EGP 30,000
  • Maximum monthly transactions limit: EGP 100,000

Yes, you do not have to be a CIB customer to register to CIB Smart Wallet.
No. Each mobile number can register one Wallet only.

For CIB Customers:

  • You can link your Debit or Credit or Prepaid card to your Smart Wallet. CIB customers can register a maximum of two CIB cards for every mobile number.
  • CIB Staff enters your Smart Wallet number and card details, and then insert “Alias”.
  • On your Wallet, press on “Load Wallet”.• Select your desired card that you wish to add money from.
  • Insert the desired amount you wish to add.
  • Insert your password.

You have now successfully added money to your Smart Wallet.

For Non-customers/Customers:

You can choose to load your Smart Wallet from either:

CIB ATMs Card-less Services

  • Touch the ATM’s screen to start.
  • Select “Smart Wallet”.
  • Choose “Deposit”.
  • Enter your Wallet number.
  • Enter your Wallet password.
  • Enter the desired amount you wish to deposit.

A message will appear confirming that the transaction was successful. You will also be able to check your balance.

CIB Smart Wallet Agent

  • Visit any CIB Smart Wallet agent.
  • Inform the agent that you need to make a deposit in cash.
  • Request an OTP from within your Smart Wallet application.
  • Provide the agent with your Wallet number and OTP.
  • Pay the agent the desired amount you wish to add to your Wallet.
  • The agent will select “Smart Wallet”.
  • Choose “Cash In”.
  • Enter the Wallet number. Make sure to first add “002”, then your mobile number and the OTP (One Time Password).
  • Enter the amount added.
  • POS will print two receipts.
  • You will receive a receipt detailing the transaction and check your Wallet’s balance. 
When making a transfer, the application asks you to enter the mobile number twice. You will also view the transaction details and be asked to confirm before the transaction is processed.However, once you confirm, CIB will not be able to reverse the transaction.
