Activation of replacement cards follows the same procedures as a new credit card.
  • Log in to your Online Banking account
  • When using the Mobile banking app, click on "More" or from the "Profile" on the top of the page
  • When using the Internet Banking service, click on "More", then choose "Services" or from the "Profile" on the top of the page
  • Click on “Request Center”
  • Under “Card Services",” click on “Stop/Replace Cards” Choose "Debit Card" and the account
  • Choose the reason of stopping/replacing the card
  • Click on “Continue”
  • Review the request details
  • Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions
  • Click on “Confirm”
  • Log in to your Online Banking account
  • Click on “Credit Cards” under the “Cards” section on the home page
  • Select the card you need to stop or replace
  • Choose the reason: Lost, Stolen or Damaged
  • Click on “Continue”
  • Review your request details
  • Read the terms and conditions
  • Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions
  • Click on “Confirm”
  • Request submitted successfully

In case there is no one to receive the card at the delivery address, the undelivered cards are returned to the bank. For redelivery, you need to contact the bank’s call center within a maximum of three months of the failed delivery. After that your card will be stopped and if you want to redeliver it, you’ll be charged for the new replacement card.

This service is no longer available on CIB Online Banking. However, you can amend (add a card /remove a card/replace a card) the card attached to Smart Wallet through visiting the nearest CIB-Egypt branch.

Notes:

  • You can choose up to two CIB cards to link to your CIB Smart Wallet.
  • In case of adding a new card, the customer has the option to choose whether to add the new card as replacement for an existing card or for all existing cards linked to SW (if the customer’s wallet is linked to two cards).

Yes, you can stop your debit or credit card through Phone Banking by calling 19666.
You can request to issue up to four supplementary cards for free. A replacement fee is applied normally.
For ATMs at branches, you can visit the branch the next day to receive your card back after showing your valid ID. For off-site ATMs, in case your card is captured in Cairo & Alex regions. You’ll receive an SMS with the details on the central vault location to receive the card.

Sign-up points are awarded after the first purchase using the credit card within 2 months from the issuance date of new cards. Gift points are inapplicable for supplementary cards, replaced or renewed cards:

  • Gold Credit Card: 10,000 points
  • Titanium/Heya Credit Card: 20,000 points
  • Platinum Credit Card: 40,000 points.
