Credit cards are not canceled, but they may be stopped (temporarily or permanently) for many reasons, including: The customer didn't pay the due amounts for more than 30 days after the due date. The customer has a legal issue, I-score, a negative list, etc. The card may be stopped due to lost, stolen, suspicious transactions, etc.

MyCIB debit card is issued as a nameless card as it is a pre-printed debit card availed instantly upon opening the account for customer convenience.

The supplementary card has the same privileges and loyalty points of the primary card.

Yes, debit or credit card activation should be done via the registered mobile number.
No, you can’t reopen the closed card. You must apply for a new credit card application which will be subject to bank policy approval.
The renewal card should be delivered before the end of the expiry month of your current card.
The replacement card should be delivered within 5 working days.
  1. From Internet Banking Home Page
  2. Go to “Requests”
  3. Click on Change limit on supplementary credit card
  4. Fill in the form with your new limit.
  • Log in to your Online Banking account
  • Tap the “Add Icon (+)” next to the “Cards” section on the home page
  • Click on “Credit Cards”
  • Choose between the offered credit card types
  • Click on “Apply Now”
  • Choose the type “Secured Card” or “Unsecured Card”
  • Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions and click on “I Agree”
  • Click on “Confirm”
  • Review the request summary, then click on “Confirm” button
  • Credit Card request submitted successfully

This service is no longer available on CIB Online Banking. However, you can amend (add a card /remove a card/replace a card) the card attached to Smart Wallet through visiting the nearest CIB-Egypt branch.

Notes:

  • You can choose up to two CIB cards to link to your CIB Smart Wallet.
  • In case of adding a new card, the customer has the option to choose whether to add the new card as replacement for an existing card or for all existing cards linked to SW (if the customer’s wallet is linked to two cards).
